IRF6619   Description

  IRF6619 combines the latest HEXFET power MOSFET silicon technology with advanced DirectFETTM packaging to achieve the lowest on-resistance in a package with a footprint of only 0.7 mm. The DirectFET package is compatible with existing layout geometry used in power applications, printed circuit board assembly equipment and gas phase, infrared or convection soldering technologies, as long as the manufacturing method and process instructions in the AN-1035 application instructions are followed. The DirectFET package allows double-sided cooling to maximize heat transfer in the power system, increasing the previously optimal thermal resistance by 80 per cent. The IRF6619 balances low resistance and low charge as well as ultra-low package inductors, thereby reducing turn-on and switching losses. The reduced total loss makes the product ideal for high-efficiency DC-DC converters, powering the latest generation of processors running at higher frequencies. IRF6619 optimizes the key parameters in the synchronous buck operation of the 12V bus converter, including RDS (conduction), gate charge and CDV/DT induction immunity. IRF6619 provides low RDS (conduction) and high CDV/DT immunity for synchronous FET applications.
