Description
The 2N3820 is a General Purpose P-Channel Amplifier. This device is primarily intended for low-level audio and general-purpose applications that require high-impedance signal sources. An amplifier, often known as an electronic amplifier or (informally) amp, is a device that boosts the power of a signal (a time-varying voltage or current). It's a two-port electrical circuit that uses electricity from a power source to boost the amplitude of a signal applied to its input terminals, resulting in a signal with proportionally higher amplitude at the output. An amplifier's gain, or the ratio of output voltage, current, or power to input, determines how much amplification it provides. A circuit with a power gain of more than one is known as an amplifier.
