1206 (3216 Metric) packages are used for PTC thermistors to prevent the devices from being damaged. The PTC thermistors are packaged in the Tape & Reel (TR) for safety purposes. For PTC thermistors, the minimum operating temperature should be -55°C. In order for this thermistor to function properly, the operating temperature must not exceed 150°C. A thermistor has a pin count of 2. The maximum power loss that the thermistor will be capable of transferring without overheating should be 125mW.
