It is important to protect PTC thermistors from damage by placing them in 0805 (2125 Metric) packages. In order to protect themselves from damage, these PTC thermistors are packaged in the Tape & Reel (TR). 2 is the termination of the PTC thermistor. These thermistors have 2 pins. This power loss should be transferred and conducted by the thermistor to the circuit without overheating. Heat produced by PTC thermistors has been rated 0.1W.
