To protect the photodiodes, they are packed in the Tape & Reel (TR). Photodiodes are protected by Radial, 5mm Dia (T 1 3/4) packages in order to ensure their safety. When reverse-bias is applied continuously, the photodiodes are able to withstand only 50V voltage.
