To prevent damage to the devices, PTC thermistors are packaged in 0805 (2012 Metric) packages. Having a Tape & Reel (TR) package ensures safety while using these PTC thermistors. For PTC thermistors, -55°C is the minimum operating temperature. A thermistor's operating temperature must not exceed 125°C for it to function. There should be no overheating of the thermistor at this temperature, which makes it the best thermistor to transfer this power loss without overheating.
