A 0603 (1608 Metric) package is used to protect the PTC thermistors from damage. In order to provide safety protection, these PTC thermistors are packaged in the Tape & Reel (TR). A PTC thermistor has a termination of 2. This thermistor has a total of 2 pins. In order for the thermistor to transfer and conduct this power loss without overheating, the maximum temperature should be 75mW. A PTC thermistor produces 0.075W heat.
