Typically, NTC thermistors are packaged in a Tape & Reel (TR) package. In order to make things easier, it is included in the package 0402 (1005 Metric). A NTC thermistor must have a resistance tolerance of ±5% in order to operate. Temperatures of 125°C provide reliable operation of NTC thermistors. It's best to operate NTC thermistors at -40°C for reliability. In order for NTC thermistors to work properly, they must have their 2 pins connected.
