LIS3LV02DL Description


The LIS3LV02DL is a three-axes digital output linear accelerometer that has an IC interface that can receive data from the sensing element and transmit measured acceleration signals to the outside world via an I2C/SPI serial interface.

A specific technology created by ST to generate silicon inertial sensors and actuators is used to create the sensing element, which can detect acceleration.

Instead, the IC interface is created utilizing a CMOS manufacturing method, which enables high levels of integration for the creation of a specific circuit that is factory trimmed to better fit the sensing element characteristics.

The LIS3LV02DL can measure acceleration over a bandwidth of 640 Hz for all axes and has a user-selectable full scale of ±2g or ±6g. The device bandwidth can be chosen based on the needs of the application.

The user can test the device's functionality using the self-test feature.

When a programmed acceleration threshold is exceeded in at least one of the three axes, the device may also be set up to create an inertial wake-up/free-fall interrupt signal.

The LIS3LV02DL is defined for a temperature range of -40°C to +85°C and is offered in a plastic SMD package.
