As a precaution, linear position measuring sensors are packaged in 14-TSSOP (0.173", 4.40mm Width) packages in order to protect them from damage. There is a MouseReel package for this electronic component. There is an ability to oppose the passage of 1.2 kOhms current through linear position measuring sensors.
