A protective Tape & Reel (TR) package surrounds the magnetic switch to protect it from damage. Magnet switches are packed in 3-SSIP packages for safety reasons. As a maximum current, magnetic switches can supply 4.5mA. A magnetic switch should only output 12mA current.
