QSB34 Overview
Bulk is used to protect the photodiodes from damage. When the photodiodes are reverse-biased, the voltage should never exceed 32 V. There was the possibility that photodiodes in a circuit would emit 150 mW heat. When photodiodes operate, they should not be subjected to temperatures higher than 85 °C. It should be noted that the photodiodes should be operated at -25 °C as a minimum operating temperature. During reverse-bias operation, the photodiodes were able to supply voltages of 32 V. The current in a photodiode is 30 nA even when there is no light input.
