MC68HC908SR12CFA Description

The MC68HC908SR12CFA is an 8-bit, 4.96-byte microcontroller that employs the improved M68HC08 central processing unit. It comes in a range of module and memory options.

In monitor mode, most MCU pins continue to work as they would in regular operation mode while the MCU can run code that has been downloaded into RAM by a host computer. The PTA0 pin is used for all communication between the host computer and the MCU. The host computer and PTA0 must share a level-shifting and multiplexing interface. A pull-up resistor is needed when using PTA0 in a wired-OR arrangement. The monitor mode is latched on the rising edge of the internal RST signal. The PTA1 and PTA4 pin values can be modified after monitor mode has been activated. The MC68HC908SR12CFA MCU employs different reset, SWI, and break interrupt vectors in monitor mode than it does in user mode.
