The INA240 -Q1 is a voltage-output, current-sensing amplifier with enhanced PWM rejection that can sense dips across shunt resistors over a large common-mode voltage range of –4 V to 80 V, irrespective of supply voltage. The negative common-mode voltage allows the device to operate below ground, accommodating the typical solenoid flyback duration. In systems that utilise pulse width modulation (PWM) signals, enhanced PWM rejection delivers significant levels of suppression for big common-mode transients (V/t) (such as motor drives and solenoid control systems). This feature enables accurate current measurements without big transients and related output voltage recovery ripple.
