A Tape & Reel (TR) package protects these photodiodes from damage. In order to ensure their safety, the photodiodes are packaged into 16-XFBGA, CSPBGA packages. A photodiode can withstand a maximum voltage of 20V when operating in reverse-bias mode continuously.
