BPW34F Overview
In order to prevent damage, these photodiodes are packaged in the Bulk. It is necessary to enclose the photodiodes in 2-DIP (0.213, 5.40mm) packages for safety purposes. As long as the photodiodes are operated in reverse- bias mode continuously, their maximum voltage is 16V. It is important that the reverse-bias voltage of the photodiodes do not exceed 16V continuously. There are 2 pins on the photodiodes. A circuit containing photodiodes can release 150mW heat. A photodiode should not operate at a temperature higher than 100°C. For photodiodes, the minimum operating temperature should be -40°C. It should be 32V for the reverse anode voltage of the photodiodes. For a circuit, the maximum heat released by the photodiodes should be 150mW. In order to get current to flow across a photodiode, there must be a voltage of 1.3V. As a result of reverse-bias, the photodiodes are able to supply 16V. A photodiode conducts 2nA current without light input.
