Getting mechanical temperature sensors into TO-220-2 packages protects them from damage. Ideally, mechanical temperature sensors should have a contact resistance of 50mOhm to prevent problems from occurring. Mechanical temperature sensors can reach the maximum voltage value 120V in an AC circuit. An mechanical temperature sensor should operate with a maximum load current of 1A.
