The mechanical temperature sensors are packaged in TO-205AA, TO-5-3 Metal Can packages to prevent them from being damaged. This electronic part must have a minimum operating temperature of 40°C to function properly. However, mechanical temperature sensors can reach a maximum operating temperature of 120°C. Temperature sensors can carry 1A current indefinitely. A mechanical temperature sensor can reach 28V in an AC circuit. Mechanical temperature sensors operate at 1A load current. DC temperature sensors can reach 28V as their maximum voltage value.
