Protecting the mechanical temperature sensors is achieved by putting them in Cylinder packages. By insulating the electrical circuit, the mechanical temperature sensor will prevent the passage of -500MOhm current. A mechanical temperature sensor's contact resistance should be 50mOhm to prevent problems. There is a minimum operating temperature of 0°C that must be met by this electronic part for it to function properly. Temperature sensors with mechanical components can, however, reach 260°C.
