Protecting the mechanical temperature sensors is achieved by putting them in Module packages. By insulating the electrical circuit, the mechanical temperature sensor will prevent the passage of 500MOhm current. A mechanical temperature sensor's contact resistance should be 50mOhm to prevent problems. There is a minimum operating temperature of -29°C that must be met by this electronic part for it to function properly. Temperature sensors with mechanical components can, however, reach 177°C. The maximum current that a mechanical temperature sensor can carry for an indefinite period of time is 2A.
