LPC2468FET208,551 Description


The LPC2468 microcontroller was created by NXP Semiconductors and is based on a 16-bit/32-bit ARM7TDMI-S CPU core with real-time debug interfaces that include JTAG and embedded trace. There are 512 kB of high-speed flash memory on the LPC2468 chip. The CPU can execute sequential instructions from this flash memory at the highest 72 MHz system clock rate thanks to a unique 128-bit wide memory interface and accelerator architecture. Only the LPC2000 ARM microcontroller family of products has access to this capability. Both 32-bit ARM and 16-bit Thumb instructions can be run on the LPC2468. Engineers can choose to optimize their program for either performance or code size at the sub-routine level thanks to support for the two instruction sets. While executing instructions in ARM mode increases core performance, doing so can result in a code size reduction of more than 30% with little to no performance hit.
